Bzzagent sent me 2 full sized products of Garnier Fructis Sleek & Shine shampoo and conditioner to try out and report back on. I used it last night, and I really like it! I like its light, fruity smell. I LOVE that the shampoo bottle is clear and the conditioner bottle is not. I have a terrible time in the shower with my eyes identifying products. I have more than once smeared a handful of conditioner on my head when looking for shampoo which is so disgusting! I don't put conditioner directly on my scalp.

Anyways. I washed, rinsed and repeated. My hair came nice and clean without feeling stripped or squeaky. The shampoo lathered really well. My scalp feels clean. The conditioner is REALLY thick and I conditioned the length of my hair. (ya know how long my hair is, REALLy long) I rinsed and it felt smooth and soft and felt like it rinsed out well.

I blow dried my hair so I can see how it came out right away. I combed through easily and looked sleek, just as the name says.

Today is the day after I washed it. My hair is still soft and smooth, my scalp doesn't feel greasy or gritty today. As long as the conditioner doesn't build up in my hair after repeated uses, I'll move this brand into my rotation. It's hard to find products for my hair I like. I often end up back at pantene but always end up disappointed. Sleek & Shine might really work for me!

Writer's Block: Once Upon a Time

What is your favorite fairytale, and why?
the little match girl is absolutely the saddest fairy tale ever. It's the one that's always stuck with me so I suppose it's my favorite. The old fairy tales were all cautionary and many were so morbid. We own a book called Struwwelpeter whose byline is Fearful stories and vile pictures to instruct good little folks. That was the point of fairy tales back when.

Writer's Block: Vision Test

OH i was FASCINATED with my man at first sight, i'd call it love, what wouldn't I have done for him, with him, to him? the way he sat down on the grass across from me and began talking, with his blue eyes and LONG curly brown hair, the confidence in his voice and his physical being, cute and desirable, even to the combat boots on his feet. I went home that night, at age 15, and wrote a poem about the guy I had met. Along with a colored pencil drawing of the scenery, as it was. I SO WISH I still had that piece of notebook paper. And what he spoke of? God, and love of the same. I was captured...i was ready. It was what I needed to hear, from whom I needed to hear it.

This was summer...that boy called me many months later after tracking down the phone number to some girl he couldn't get out of his mind.... and the rest they say....

We will be celebrating our 17 year wedding anniversary this coming August. And dear GOD, thank you, I still LOVE THAT BOY.

Writer's Block: Doppelganger Week

Who is your look-alike?
Jodie Foster. All of my adult life, periodically a stranger will look at me with tilted head and get that AHA!!! Look on their face and exclaim HAS ANYONE EVER TOLD YOU, YOU LOOK JUST LIKE JODIE FOSTER?! ::shrug:: I'm fine with that. I guess I have to be, since she's stolen my face ;)

Share one thing you’d like to accomplish before the end of the year.

Get this gall bladder situation sorted out now that we have insurance starting the 1st. Lose this 20lbs I've put back on. Learn to play the violin serviceabley well, or better. That's three things. Why stop at 1. I'm sure I could go on all day.

Unhappiness in relationships, according to Dr. Gary Chapman, is often due to the fact that we speak different love languages. Sometimes we don't understand our partner's requirements, or even our own. We all have a "love tank" that needs to be filled in order for us to express love to others, but there are different means by which our tank can be filled, and there are different ways that we can express love to others.

my results actually surprised me. It appears I am a demanding lover. But I can see it. I need him fully. I need him physically, I need him emotionally. And I even need a gift now and then. But I think I give as good as I get. Better even. I'm in, 1000%

Writer's Block: B.Y.O.B. Holidays

Which December holidays do you celebrate, and why? One random answer will win a $50 Amazon gift card. [Details here]

december holidays? the usual one. Christmas. But...it's a reflective time for us. We do gifts and shiny lights on a real green tree from the outside that once grew in dirt. I burn pine scented candles. And we celebrate Jesus, but we celebrate Jesus every day so. This is seamless for us. This is fun for us. Yes yes yes...Christmas is a plastic baby Jesus drowning in a pool of pagan rites and rituals. But all we see is Jesus, not the rest. We all draw the lines somewhere.
